The IAGLCWDC Executive Board and Convention Planning Committee would like to acknowledge and say thank you to the Florida Mavericks, firstly for inviting the IAGLCWDC to locate its 2008 Annual Convention in their fair city, and secondly for volunteering to help with many tasks that are either difficult or nearly impossible to do by people who don't live locally.

• They have already helped immensely in locating the best hotel in town, and providing us with lots of helpful website information about Tampa.
• Roger, their President, has prepared an attractive page on myspace that will surely bring in many folks to the Yo Ho Hoedown who might not even know about it otherwise.
• As this is being written, they are soliciting local sponsors, shopping for ballroom decorations, and—from what I hear—preparing a helluvanawesome exhibition for Friday night's Opening Ceremonies.
• Before it's all over, they'll be gathering goodies for the hospitality room, hauling banners and other items to the hotel that various ones of us have mailed to Tampa ahead of time, putting up ballroom decorations, and running a myriad of other errands that Convention Director Jim Chakeres will surely think of before the whole thing even gets started.
• Our biggest thank you is reserved until after the hoedown, when we all go back home and realize what an awesome time we had all because of our volunteers—local and out of town—who worked so hard to make the entire weekend successful.
